Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT)
In one-on-one hour long sessions, you and your Marriage and Family Therapist will discover how your family history and relationships have impacted your dependency. Your loved ones may also be invited to participate in specific sessions so they may gain a greater insight and understanding of the root causes of your dependence.
Your Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) will work with you to assist in uncovering any negative self-esteem issues that have contributed to your dependency, the effect on your family life and all other components of your life. These negative thoughts likely formed when you were growing up as a result of a dysfunctional family dynamic. During your one-on-one sessions, you will learn how to change your belief system, so you can begin healing old wounds and beliefs.
Once you understand and accept your core issues, we invite your spouse or other family members to participate in your therapy. These sessions provide an safe environment where past communication barriers can finally be broken down so that your loved ones can truly appreciate and understand what you have been enduring and discovery how they can assist you take the necessary steps in achieving complete and total sobriety.
